"WHEN ONE DOOR CLOSES, ANOTHER OPENS, BUT WE OFTEN LOOK SO LONG AND SO REGRETFULLY UPON THE CLOSED DOOR THAT WE DO NOT SEE THE ONE THAT HAS OPENED FOR US."

Sang Pelangi

Disini ku berdiri
Menanti dan terus menanti
Pelangi yang telah pergi

Disini ku termenung
Merindu dan terus merindu
Indahmu yang telah berlalu

Disini ku tinggalkan
Bayang dan impian
Yang lama membelenggu

Disini ke berjanji
Menunggu hujan reda
Dan menanti pelangi yang baru

Disini ku berdiri
Menanti dan terus menanti
Sang Pelangi yang indah
Yang membawa tujuh warna
Yang tiada tandingannya.

The Skylark

"THE SKYLARK"

The earth was green, the sky was blue:
I saw and heard one sunny morn,
A skylark hang between the two,
A singing speck above the corn;

A stage below, in gay accord,
White butterflies danced on the wing,
And still the singing skylark soared,
And silent sank and soared to sing.

"The Skylark is singing"

The cornfield stretched a tender green
To right and left beside my walks;
I knew he had a nest unseen
Somewhere among the million stalks:

And as I paused to hear his song,
While swift the sunny moments slid,
Perhaps his mate sat listening long,
And listened longer than I did.

A Man Young And Old Part III - The Mermaid

A mermaid found a swimming lad,
Picked him for her own,
Pressed her body to his body,
Laughed; and plunging down
Forgot in cruel happiness
That even lovers drown.

A Man Young And Old Part II - Human Dignity

Like the moon her kindness is,
If kindness I may call
What has no comprehension in't,
But is the same for all
As though my sorrow were a scene
Upon a painted wall.
So like a bit of stone I lie
Under a broken tree.
I could recover if I shrieked
My heart's agony
To passing bird, but I am dumb
From human dignity.
